PSYCH-UA 300: Special Topic

The Science of Learning and Memory

Overview

This course will expose students to key concepts, theories, and experimental paradigms for studying human learning and memory. A special emphasis will be placed on findings in learning and memory research that have application to everyday life (e.g., better remembering people's names, studying more effectively). We will examine certain myths about how human memory works through the lens of psychological research to find out what works and what doesn't. Students will leave with a better understanding of how the brain stores and retrieves information.
